What We Do and Why We Do It

Our customers are our business, and ensuring they are taken care of is beneficial for us as well as them. We love the community we work in, and the people we work with, so we make it a priority to put them first. BankGloucester demonstrates action on this core value by participating in local volunteer events, sponsoring local businesses and organizations, providing scholarships to local students, and always keeping our customers at the front of our thoughts. When we need specialty assistance on a project or service, we look to our community. As such, many of our customers maintain both a personal and a business banking relationship with us.

Giving Back

Our community is the foundation of our business, and every year we commit to doing everything we can to help it thrive. Through a combination of local sponsorships, donations, scholarships, and our “Banking for the Community” event we aim to give local businesses, non-profits, and people the help they need to get where they’re going.

We work to sponsor and support many local businesses and organizations including the Open Door, the Cape Ann YMCA, Sawyer Free Library and more. In addition to sponsorships, we also work with local organizations on capital campaigns, and offer scholarships to local high school graduates.

Supporting Education

As part of our community initiative to make financial education more accessible to our neighbors, we have also partnered with Banzai, a financial education platform that is available to local schools free of charge. Banzai offers intuitive and engaging ways to learn about a variety of financial topics including budgeting, college preparation, and even the process of buying a home.
