Michele French serves as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager at BankGloucester. She joined the Bank in 2014 and has more than 35 years of banking experience.
Michele began her career in 1989 as a Teller and advanced through the roles of Head Teller, Assistant Branch Manager, and Deposit Operations Manager during her 25-year tenure with First Ipswich Bank. Since joining BankGloucester, she has managed both the Essex and Ipswich branches, bringing extensive experience in staff leadership and business development.
In 2019, Michele was recognized by the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce as Small Businessperson of the Year. She is actively involved in several local organizations and initiatives, serving as Co-Chair of the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce's Essex Division, a member of the Clamfest Committee, Chairman of the Community Preservation Committee, a member of the Essex Housing Authority Board, and is a Manchester-Essex Rotarian. Michele is currently serving on the Ipswich YMCA Board and serves as Chairman of the Governance Committee.
A lifelong North Shore resident, Michele has called Essex home for more than 38 years. She enjoys traveling and reading and spends her free time with her husband, Michael, and their two dogs, Miller and Woody.
