Katie Cornog is a watercolor artist based in Medford, Massachusetts. After retiring from a career as a computer engineer, she returned to her lifelong love of art. She paints frequently en plein air on the North Shore with Boston North Artists. Her work has been shown in numerous juried exhibitions, and she is a juried member of North Shore Arts. She has studied with several notable artists, including Gary Tucker, Marion Hall, and Paul George.
“As an artist, I try to convey how light, color, and pattern capture the imagination and create beauty. Watercolor painting is a dialogue with the medium. The artist must not only direct, but respond to the fluid effects of the water and pigment on the paper.”

In partnership with the North Shore Arts Association—an institution celebrating over 100 years of artistic excellence—we proudly showcase works by their member artists in our Gloucester branch library. This rotating exhibit brings the vibrant legacy of Cape Ann’s art community directly into our space, enriching the experience for visitors and patrons alike.
