Fraud is on the rise! Please be aware that scammers are impersonating BankGloucester employees and claim there are issues involving wires, ACH transactions, debit card activity, or other suspicious transactions. They then attempt to obtain sensitive information or request access to your device. These communications are not from BankGloucester.

For your protection, please remember:

Never click on links or provide account numbers, online banking credentials, passwords, PINs, or security codes to an unsolicited caller.

If you receive a suspicious call or text that appears to be from BankGloucester, hang up and call us directly at (978) 283-8200 to verify the request.

Caller ID can be misleading—scammers can “spoof” legitimate phone numbers to make their calls appear authentic.

If you believe you may have shared personal or account information with a suspicious caller, please contact us at (978) 283-8200 so we can help secure your accounts.

Introducing Pulsate

Pulsate is a mobile-first personalized customer engagement platform that will allow BankGloucester to send push notifications, in-app, and location-driven notifications for everything from announcements, special events, special offers and new products and services.

Starting on Tuesday, March 26, BankGloucester customers will be prompted to update their BG Mobile App. Business banking customers will download the same update but are not able to receive Pulsate communications. After updating, users will be asked to grant location access the next time they open the app. If the customer chooses not to grant location access at this time, they will be able to access the app normally, but will not receive Pulsate communications. See below for device specific instructions.

The initial prompt provides a brief explanation on how the BG Mobile App will use location data. Allowing access will opt users into push notifications and location-based offers automatically.

After clicking next on the prior screen, the app will be request location data access. When the user clicks “Allow While Using App” the App will get foreground location and temporary background location permissions.

When the App tries to access background location in the future the system will automatically display a new popup requesting access location data in the background. By granting this permission, the app will be able to notify customers of Pulsate communications even when the BG Mobile App is not open.
