BankGloucester is proud to be a trusted partner to collect funds for the FV Lily Jean Fund. Working with Cape Ann Savings Bank and the Gloucester Fishing Community Preservation Fund, all BankGloucester locations are accepting contributions benefiting the families of the F/V Lily Jean.

On January 30, our Gloucester community suffered a heartbreaking loss when the Gloucester-based fishing vessel Lily Jean was lost at sea along with her seven-member crew.
In the wake of this tragedy, the Gloucester Fishing Community Preservation Fund (GFCPF) established the Lily Jean Fund to provide direct financial support to the families of those who perished. The fund is administered by GFCPF, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ensuring that all contributions are tax-deductible and distributed directly to the families.
In the video message below, Marianne Smith, President of Cape Ann Savings Bank, and Patrick Thorpe, President of BankGloucester, join Vito Giacalone of GFCPF to share more about the fund, its purpose, and how our community — and those beyond it — can help.
We invite you to watch, consider making a contribution if you are able, and help spread the word. Together, we can support the families of the Lily Jean with compassion, strength, and unity during this incredibly difficult time.
