BankGloucester in the Community

At BankGloucester, community is everything. That’s why you’ll see us supporting the communities we serve tirelessly all year long. From the amazing area charities to the various community events and projects on Cape Ann, we’re proud to help make a difference. To us, home is where the heart is—and that’s why we love our communities so much.

Banking for the Community

Since 2008, BankGloucester has asked its customers and the community to help make an impact through its annual Banking for the Community program. Each year, they vote for their favorite local charitable organizations, and based on these votes, BankGloucester now donates a total of $25,000 to 21 organizations — with a $5,000 grand prize going to one organization. The community has been incredibly supportive of this campaign, and the initiative grows each year to include more and more deserving organizations.

Check back here each September for more information on how to vote for or nominate someone whose mission you support. Electronic voting and paper ballots are available in the weeks leading up to the event.

The 2021 recipients of BankGloucester’s Banking for the Community program gathered for a celebration and awarding of $25,000 to local, deserving charitable organizations.

BankGloucester Scholarship Awards Program

BankGloucester believes in service to community and supports students who exemplify this principle. Each year, we award $12,500 in scholarships to five high school graduates; each of whom receive $2,500 toward expenses in the upcoming academic year. The award recipients demonstrate hard work, academic achievements, and community service. For more information on our scholarship program, we encourage students entering their senior year to contact their guidance department to learn how to apply. Students must plan to attend a two- or four-year institution of higher learning.
