On October 9, BankGloucester proudly hosted our 2025 Banking for the Community Awards Reception at our Main Street branch—celebrating the incredible organizations that make our community stronger every day.
The event brought together representatives from all 19 winning nonprofits, along with Gloucester Mayor Greg Verga, Massachusetts State Senator Bruce Tarr, and Nina Goodick, District Liaison for State Representative Ann-Margaret Ferrante’s office, to recognize the essential work being done across Cape Ann and beyond.
Through this year’s program, the community helped decide how $30,000 was shared among local nonprofits. Each vote cast throughout September made a difference—helping direct funding to the organizations that mean the most to our neighbors.
Since the program began in 2008, Banking for the Community has contributed more than $350,000 to area nonprofits—part of BankGloucester’s ongoing commitment as a mutual community bank to giving back and supporting the people and places we serve.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who participated and to the nonprofits who continue to make our region a better place to live, work, and thrive.
